Copart Canada Introduces its Brand New 3-Step Registration Process

Changes are not always easy, but in the last couple of weeks Copart has been working extra hours on rolling out our brand-new registration process coupled with new membership levels and benefits! Registration has not only become much easier for Canadians; we also give you more options to sign up for different types of Membership.

Now, let’s have a closer look on what has been changed and how you can navigate your way through all the new processes.

Copart Canada’s New Registration Process

Start your Copart journey by going to our new 3-step registration page when you click on “Register” in the right-hand corner of Copart.ca.

The first step gives you the option to register as business or individual. (As a reminder, in Canada, all vehicles located in all provinces except Alberta will require a business license to bid.) Unsure of whether you will be eligible to bid on a vehicle? Check our Help With Licensing map to view more information on the licensing requirements for each province. 

Once you entered all the required information, you will receive an email to create your new password. Then you can start setting up your account and checking out our inventory as a free Guest Member. But don’t forget to complete the other two registration steps in order to bid on and buy vehicles on Copart.ca. 

The second step gives you the option to upload your government-issued photo ID and any applicable business documents. This will help us to determine your bidding eligibility for different vehicles.

The third step shows you both Membership options (Basic or Premier) that are available. Not sure what to pick? Read more about the differences between Basic and Premier Memberships here. Simply select your preferred Membership type and pick the payment method that works best for you! We even made it easier by adding Google Pay and Apple Pay to check out within seconds!

Already registered with Copart? No Problem! Current Members can log into their account and have the opportunity to check their membership level or upgrade to Premier in the Account Information Section.

3-Tier Membership Levels

Tier One – Free Guest Membership

After completing the first step, you will receive an automatic free Guest Membership. You will be able to do the following:

• Browse Copart Canada’s large inventory.
• Review province licensing information.
• Catch up on Member News and edit your account profile.

Tier Two – Basic Membership

Once you have completed the last registration step, you have the option to pick between Basic or Premier. The Basic Membership works the best if you only plan to purchase a few vehicles in a year. You will receive the following benefits:

• Bid on and buy vehicles using your $1,200 CAD in Buying Power.
• Add vehicles of interest to your Watchlist.
• Save time looking for vehicles with Saved Searches and much more.

Tier Three – Premier Membership

This Membership has everything you need if you are looking to buy several vehicles in a year, and it comes with all the benefits Copart has to offer. Either register for a Premier Membership as part of the 3-Step Registration Process or go to your account and upgrade to an annual Premier Membership. You will receive the following benefits:

• Bid on more than one vehicle at a time with increased Buying Power.
• Join multiple auctions at a time.
• Avoid adding deposits each time you place a bid.
